Gotham Greens was founded in 2008 by Viraj Puri and Eric Haley, who had a vision for a local farm that would offer New York chefs and retailers the freshest and highest quality culinary ingredients, year-round, at competitive prices. As the country’s first rooftop greenhouse, Gotham Greens has expanded its business to other neighborhoods in New York, including the rooftop of the Gowanus Whole Foods, and a soon-to-be location in Jamaica, Queens.
